The details of France’s divorce from Megan France have been kept confidential since the 2008 divorce by their lawyers, and a judge had ruled them sealed. The documents were, however, ruled to be unsealed by another judge in 2011.
France wanted to keep the documents secret because of a dispute over his ex-wife’s possible violation of confidentiality and other provisions of the agreement for their second divorce.
A three-judge panel ruled the decision for the unsealing was valid, so the documents are available for the public.
The divorce immediately cost France $9 million, with additional $32,000 a month in alimony and $10,000 a month in child support, according to lawyers’ statements in court
